8 out of 10 Brits would rather keep British food standards than get a trade deal with the United States but International Trade secretary Liam Fox refuses to rule out the future import of chlorinated chicken and hormone-fed beef.

The National Farmers Union says, "It is imperative that any future trade deals, including a possible deal with the US, do not allow the imports of food produced to lower standards than those required of British farmers"

But politicians like Jacob Rees Mogg have called for lowering UK standards to get trade deals with other countries.

If you're one of the millions of Brits who don't think a US trade deal is worth lowering our standards for, tell Liam Fox today:

To Liam Fox MP -

I do not accept that lowering food standards is a price worth paying for a trade deal with the United States of America.

Allowing cheap import of US products into the UK threatens our animal welfare and our local farmers.

I call upon you to protect British food standards and to rule out US produce that does not meet those standards.

Make this clear today.

It is imperative that we maintain our high standards of food hygiene and do not allow ourselves to be dictated to by the lax standards of the United States! I can understand calls to raise standards but a demand from a foreign country that we lower our standards . . . . really? I don’t think so :-(
