8 out of 10 Brits would rather keep British food standards than get a trade deal with the United States but International Trade secretary Liam Fox refuses to rule out the future import of chlorinated chicken and hormone-fed beef.

The National Farmers Union says, "It is imperative that any future trade deals, including a possible deal with the US, do not allow the imports of food produced to lower standards than those required of British farmers"

But politicians like Jacob Rees Mogg have called for lowering UK standards to get trade deals with other countries.

If you're one of the millions of Brits who don't think a US trade deal is worth lowering our standards for, tell Liam Fox today:

To Liam Fox MP -

I do not accept that lowering food standards is a price worth paying for a trade deal with the United States of America.

Allowing cheap import of US products into the UK threatens our animal welfare and our local farmers.

I call upon you to protect British food standards and to rule out US produce that does not meet those standards.

Make this clear today.

WE ALSO WANT TORIES TO BUY BACK ALL OUR NHS OUT OF THEIR OWN POCKETS, IT WASNT THEIRS TO SELL WE VE PAID ALL OUR LIVES FOR IT NOT TO HAVE IT STOLEN AND HANDED OVER TO THE USA. DO NOT GO BACK TO PRE 1948 when if you could pay you lived if you couldn’t you suffered and died. NO TO BRITAIN BECOMING FOR WEALTHY ONLY.

Don’t prostitute our country, NHS, agriculture and animal welfare standards to land a US trade deal: we will hold you to account!

Dear Mr Fox, I will not at anytime buy anything from America that does not pass the standard for foods that myself and my family have come to expect. The EU (that includes us the U.K. still as so far we are clinging on to sanity) have improved standards over the years and the British people if forced to leave that which it has had hand in creating and you stupidly want to sell us out, Icannotagree and will not agree to lower my standards, because of the British governments stupidity in calling a referendum in the first place to sort out your own internal politics and ask an uneducated public who were drip feed lies and half truths. I will not be purchasing anything from a Trump lead country for a start

The UK currently has higher animal welfare and food safety standards. It is vital that these levels are maintained and even increased as we enter Brexit. Being manipulated by the USA and it’s lower standards is not acceptable. Has there been a referendum?

I worked in agriculture all my life. I can vouch for our welfare standards. I would rather go without than touch American food.
